Eileen Urban Kolasa, who many know simply as "Bunny", is the Owner and Founder of Urban Forest and Garden.  After retiring from Healthcare Risk Management in 2023, and not wanting to resume a Law practice nor Nursing sideline, she fully immersed herself into the art of Gardening from part time to full time.  She grew up in the retail flower business in Chicago, spent many summers on her Wisconsin relatives' farms, and always pays attention to what is growing wherever she goes. Bunny loves to garden. It is not work, it is passion.  She is experienced in successully growing various  vegetables, fruits, herbs and perennials in Northern Illinois and Mideastern Wisconsin.  She had just finished her University of Illinois Master Gardener training when Covid hit in 2020. It was quite a wake up call for lots of changes going on in the world. It brought back some memories about how many Americans grew and tended to their own Victory Gardens during wartime. 

 

Jumping a few years forward, there are innumerable food related issues always hitting our dashboard.  We all know what is healthy to eat,  so why not teach people how to amend their own food supply and know what they grow.  Just as importantly, not forget about our pollinators, the soil, the water, and improving our outdoor space while making a difference in the environment.

 

Urban Forest and Garden specializes in on site consulting, teaching, and coaching newbies to seasoned garden aficionados.  Services may extend to working with subcontractors or landscapers, provision of plants and kitchen garden installations. Our commitment is to work with the client's vision, hopefully provide some inspiration, and help create a functional and meaningful outdoor living environment that reflects the client's unique lifestyle.
